AWARDS: 1st place CMA Apple Award for Best Yearbook Spread and 3rd place APC Design of the Year for "Nightlife", 2012. Judge's comments: "An extraordinary picture. Such rich color and such wistful, warm emotion. The type of treatment is restrained and perfectly placed. Man, does this bring back memories. Which is the point. Kudos."

AWARD: 1st Place ACP Design of the Year for "The Densters", 2013. I wanted to capture what baristas at The Den, LMU's hip student-run cafe, do after hours as they close down shop. To do so, I organized baristas into a group shot with a twist: they had to dress in their best "Den Hipster" attire. Thus, the themes of The Den and hipster-clad students merged to create "The Densters".

"Athlete Highlight", 2012. Our 2012 Athlete Highlights focused on using sharp geometric shapes and contrasting colors to organize multiple elements: name, tagline, quote, a short questionnaire, interview, grade, major, and photos.

"Graduation", 2012. For our graduation spread, I wanted to explain graduation garb in a fun and engaging way. The other half of the spread highlighted the event, the graduates, and the commencement speaker.

"Off-Campus Student Life", 2013. This spread tells the story of three college students experiencing life off-campus during their senior year of college. I wanted this to feel like a magazine feature of the "Workaholics" TV series, so I chose to locate the photoshoot on the roof.

"Student-Faculty Dance Concert", 2013. Our Photo Director took this engaging shot of student dancers. Because I was also in attendance, we were able to incorporate the song title they were dancing to in our headline "When the Chips Are Down," with a sub-head detailing the names of performers and choreographers.

"The Loft", 2013. My love for LMU's on-campus bar, The Loft, brought this spread to production. I organized The Loft coverage around a "beerology" infographic along the bottom, breaking down each beer according to taste, type, and tap handle. There is also an editorial on the student experience, and the top right infographic displays the layout of the venue (along with the average "path" to the bar).
